Dennis Jones's journey through life has been as eclectic as his artistic pursuits. His adventures span continents and cultures, shaping both his worldview and his creative vision.

In 1984, while battling illness in Hurghada, Egypt, Dennis encountered the curious utility of a bidet, a moment that would spark a lifelong fascination. In Phuket, Thailand, he found unexpected teachers in the form of local prostitutes, who introduced him to the game of 'Jenga,' an encounter that blended amusement with cultural exchange.

One of Dennis's notable feats was a swift descent to the depths of the Grand Canyon from the North Rim and back, accomplished within a mere twelve hours. His thirst for exploration extends to his travels through fifty US National Parks, each visit adding layers to his appreciation of nature's majesty.

Beyond his exploits, Dennis is a multifaceted individual, wearing the hats of artist, professor, and architect. His current artistic focus intertwines technology, myth, scientific theory, natural phenomena, and art history resulting in a captivating body of paintings that reflect his diverse experiences and perspectives.

Throughout his career, Dennis has showcased his work in over 70 exhibitions, garnering recognition through six prestigious awards. Highlights include contributing to the creation of a NYC Vietnam Memorial, embarking on a two-year touring exhibition across Canada, and presenting a solo showcase of twenty paintings at The OK Harris Gallery in NYC.

As a curator, Dennis orchestrated 'SIX' at The Janice Charach Gallery in 2018, while also exhibiting his solo collection at The University of Michigan in the same year. His artistic endeavors have been acknowledged in publications such as the 2019 Midwest Competition for New American Paintings, with further recognition slated for the 2022 Fall issue of Caustic Frolic, published by The Graduate School of Experimental Social and Humanistic Studies at New York University.

Venues worldwide have embraced Dennis's art, including esteemed galleries like The OK Harris Gallery in New York, Galerie Camille in Detroit, and The Art Gallery of Windsor in Canada. From Detroit to Ontario, his work has graced the walls of galleries, leaving an indelible mark on viewers across North America.

Dennis Jones's artistic journey is not merely about brushstrokes on canvas; it's a narrative of exploration, cultural exchange, and boundless creativity, woven together into a vibrant tapestry of life and art.

Jones has an impressive exhibition history, having participated in over seventy solo and group shows spanning local, national, and international venues. His creative output extends beyond traditional mediums and encompasses paintings, sculptures, drawings, installations, videos, photos, books, and even teaching and residential architecture. In 2022, he presented a pointed political body of work titled "New Minority" at Galerie Camille in Detroit. His artwork was featured in the Fall 2022 issue of "Caustic Frolic," a publication by The Graduate School of Experimental Social and Humanistic Studies at New York University. Furthermore, his work was selected for inclusion in the New American Paintings 2019 Midwest Competition Publication, which was juried by Staci Boris, the Associate Director of Exhibitions at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Notable exhibitions include a solo show at the University of Michigan from September to December 2018, as well as his curation of the exhibition "SIX" at The Janice Charach Gallery in January 2018, featuring the work of six Detroit artists.
